Kirsti Irmeli Kaunisto — a path to color
Official Portfolio
Paintings are windows. They make the world of invisible visible, to be observed at one's leisure, with one's perception. Like a gift unwrapped over and over again.
I do not impose limits of shape or color to my creation; the viewer can feel free to observe what he/she wants to see through the window I paint.
I live surrounded by music. Music feeds me, it is the balloon that lifts me so that I can observe the view from a distance. What I witness is an unpredictable pathway. Only passion an love toward my work is constant.
I both weep and rejoice on my explorations, and I can pass on my findings on paper, canvas or wood. I can only exclaim: what a chance that this work chose me!
I choose you to explore with me.
